Sheffield businessman appeals for donations for charity

Have your say

A Sheffield businessman has launched an appeal to help his daughter and others affected by a rare genetic neurological disorder.

Chris Thomson’s daughter Sienna, aged eight, has Rett Syndrome, which is most commonly found in girls and causes profound physical and learning disabilities.

Mr Thomson, managing director of property agency ELR, is encouraging people to donate to the charity Rett UK, which celebrates its 30th anniversary next year.

The charity supports families of children and adults with Rett Syndrome and money raised will help run regional events for families.
