Sheffield bus passengers warned of disruption with Penistone Road set to be closed

Bus passengers in Sheffield are being warned of diversions and potential disruptions with the partial closure of Penistone Road this week.

Stagecoach has announced details of diversions to services which will kick in from tomorrow.

Broken down lorry causes delays on A1(M) near Doncaster this morning

Service 86 will be affected from November 21-23 with Penistone Road closed between Salt Box Lane and School Lane from 8pm until 5am.

Stagecoach buses are set to be disrupted.

Diversion information is as follows:

Towards Lowedges

Normal route on Penistone Road, onto Norfolk Hill then Main Street, Salt Box Lane. At traffic lights the service will turn right back on normal route.

Towards Chapeltown

Normal route on Penistone Road. Continue onto Salt Box Lane, Main street, Norfolk Hill then back on to normal route on Penistone Road.
