Two Sheffield boys, aged 13 and 16, have been quizzed over the theft of a car with a toddler inside.

The two youths arrested over the incident, on suspicion of the theft of a car, have been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

POLICE: Two knives and cannabis found behind Boots in Sheffield city centreA South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "A car was stolen with the owners two-year-old child sat inside it on Berners Road, Arbourthorne. yesterday.

"The offenders who had been helping the owner push the vehicle free from some mud then decided to jump in and drive away with it.

"The car and child were located a short distance away and two individuals were arrested from the scene for the theft of a motor vehicle. Further enquiries are ongoing at this time."
