His second opponent, Michael Andrew Gaxiola, bad-mouthed Britain when the pair met before their contest - and Fazeldin reacted by pushing him over.

“I have a lot of family over there and wasn’t going to let him talk rubbish about Britain and its boxers. He said at one point they should ‘send me back over the border’ - which shows how much he knew. So I sent him flying on the stage we were on and beat him on the night.

“I can always go back to fight in America but now I am getting my British license back and want start getting titles here.”

Fazeldin’s other victim over the pond, was Anthony Napunyi, who had been in with some quality names, including WBC World lightweight title holder Mikey Garcia.

Fazeldin, 24, of Tinsley, was initially scheduled to fight at Ponds Forge on March 24, but his license won’t be ready by then. When he gets it, the priority is to start adding to the 2015 Central Area super bantamweight title.

“I know I can get in the running for the English title or the WBC International title” he said. “I have had 10 hard fights and I want to go on and prove myself to promoters and managers - they know I can mix in and stand my ground. I am not saying I am world level, but that is to come. I have become a lot stronger mentally, I am more level-headed.

“I always enjoy training and am more hungry now than ever. I need to sit down with Ryan soon and see what plan we can work on. I hope to be out again in April or May.”
