Sheffield band making a noise on city's music scene reaches final of competition

A Sheffield band making a noise on the city's music scene has made it through to the final of a competition for unsigned acts.

Bailey Street, made up of vocalist Rosie Winton, guitarist Stan Ward, bass player Joe Helliwell and drummer Sam Heeley, has made it through five heats and seen off competition from hundreds of bands, singers and DJS to reach the final of the SoundWaves Music Competition.

The band is now the sole Sheffield representative in the contest, with the final to be held at the O2 Academy Leeds on Saturday.
