Sheffield alumni honoured in Pakistan
Two Sheffield alumni in Pakistan have been recognised for their professional achievements at a British Deputy High Commission ceremony in Karachi.
The Professional Achievement Award, recognising alumni who have distinguished themselves through exemplary leadership and achievements, was presented to Jahanzeb Awan, who studied Law at the University of Sheffield.
Dr Nousheen Zakaria, who gained her MSc in Management at the University of Sheffield, was first runner-up in the Entrepreneurial Award, recognising those are active in initiating innovative new business opportunities.
The awards were presented by special guests including University of Sheffield alumna Dr Urooj Mumtaz, who plays for Pakistan’s national women’s cricket team.
