Sharpe trained, and gained
Killamarsh-based information and communications technology company Sharpe Systems has celebrated growth of 80 per cent after taking part in the Learning and Skills Council Train to Gain initiative.
Director Tim Sharpe contacted Train to Gain Skills Broker Lucie Andrews for advice on the best way to improve business planning and performance management skills in-house.
Mr Sharpe said: “We have experienced such a clear business benefit from the skills brokerage service offered by Train to Gain.
“After discussing a number of options with Lucie, we decided to join a mentoring scheme, which meets our business planning and performance management needs and have also had marketing guidance through an external agency – we could never have done it alone.
“Thanks to new skills and methods I have learnt, we have changed the whole way our business works and have learnt to work a lot smarter.
“As a result we have seen an 80 per cent growth, which I am delighted about.”
