Sex attack on 16-year-old girl on Sheffield bus

Police probing a sex attack on a teenage girl on a bus in Sheffield have issued an e-fit of a man they want to speak to.

A 16-year-old girl was on the 52A bus, travelling from Wisewood to Woodhouse, when a man sat down next to her and sexually assaulted her before getting off the bus on Beaver Hill Road.

The attack took place at around 5.30pm on Saturday July 30 this year.

Following initial enquiries, police are now appealing for members of the public who may be able to identify the man in the e-fit, as they believe he could have important information about the incident.

PC Sarah Thorne, who is the investigating officer, said: “This was a highly traumatic incident for the victim and we are continuing to follow up on a number of lines of enquiry.

“I would like to ask any members of the public who think they know the man in the e-fit to speak to police as we believe he could assist us with our investigation.

“If you know this man please contact police on 101 quoting incident number 907 of 30 July."
