Kaleem Ali, 18, of Clough Road, Masborough, was convicted after a trial at Rotherham Magistrates’ Court in February after approaching a victim involved in his father’s trial at Sheffield Crown Court.

His father, Qurban Ali, was jailed for 10 years last month after he was found guilty of one count of conspiracy to rape as part of a grooming gang in the town.

He was part of a gang of six people who were sent to prison for a combined total of 102 years for sexually abusing 15 young girls in Rotherham.

His son Kaleem Ali had been due to be sentenced today, March 22, but the case has now been adjourned until April 12.

Police said Kaleem Ali had behaved in an ‘intimidating and threatening manner’ towards the young woman.
