Sell out show for Sheffield’s Irish dancers

Have your say

CITY-based Irish dance group Sciorr performed Sheffield’s very own version of the River Dance to a packed audience at the Montgomery Theatre in Surrey Street.

The dancers – Sally Willan, aged 24, Cerys Wood, 22, Ruth Garside, 24, Emily Bates, 24, Ellen McManus, 25, and Sarah Popplewell, 25 – have been performing separately since they were knee high to Michael Flatley.

But the girls came together to put on their first ‘proper show’ as a group.

Sciorr choreographed all their own dances and the show featured music written by local musician Matt Crum.
