Friends of Woodseats Playground: Graves Park has announced its second Community Dig Day at Woodseats Park this Sunday.
With support from Sheffield City Council and other partners, Friends of Woodseats Playground: Graves Park is drawing on volunteers from the local community to help create a community garden in the playground. Volunteers will gather this weekend to plant seeds and flowers, clear the stream banks and work on a host of other activities to make the community garden a beautiful place to visit for the people of Woodseats. Woodseats Allotment Society will also be at the Dig Day, running a seed planting stall for local children.
Chair David Kemp said: “After a successful Community Dig Day in October 2017, we are extremely excited and proud to hold a second Community Dig Day in Woodseats Playground. Once again we look forward to seeing people from all over Woodseats coming together to help make this a place everybody can enjoy.”
