Search for missing Sheffield man almost a month after disappearance

Police are still searching for a missing Sheffield man, almost a month since his disappearance.

Neil Slaney, aged 41, was reported missing on November 15, and both his family and officers are growing ‘increasingly concerned’ for his welfare.

Police believe the last possible sighting of Neil was about 10 days ago at some shops in Dodworth, Barnsley.

Neil has not been seen or heard from since.

Detective Chief Inspector Steve Whittaker from Sheffield said: “Neil’s family are incredibly worried for his welfare. He has not been seen for over ten days now and we really need to hear from him that he is ok.

“Neil, if you read this, please get in touch with your family, friends or call the police to let us know that you are safe and well.

“I’d also ask that anyone who has seen Neil or who knows where he might be to get in touch with us.”

Neil is white, 5ft 10ins, tall and of slim build. Officers believe he was carrying some sort of bag or rucksack when he went missing.

He has links to the Chapeltown area of Sheffield and Huddersfield.
