Screens put information in customers’ hands

Customer Information Screens are to be installed at more than 140 Northern Rail stations across the region.

It is hoped that the £3m investment could benefit millions of customers throughout the north, with up-to-the-minute train running information.

Natalie Loughborough, customer service director for Northern Rail, said: “We know our customers value real-time travel information. The new Customer Information Screens will keep people up-to-date with information about arrival and departure times as well as station calling points along the route. They also offer information about any local disruption or engineering work, updates from our Twitter feed and even a local weather forecast; information that can be vital to our customers travelling in more rural locations.”
