BUDDING writers on a science communications course in Sheffield have launched a new online magazine about groundbreaking research.
The website also offers graduate scientists the chance to learn how to report, write and produce articles about their expertise.
Called Steel Science, it has been launched by students studying for an MSc in Science Communication at the University of Sheffield, which is a collaboration between various faculties.
They will use their access to the university to uncover groundbreaking research stories from across the Faculty of Science and report them on the website.
Journalist Emma Wilkinson, a lecturer in journalism at the university and former health reporter who has also written for medical journals, came up with the idea.
