Westfield School students celebrate GCSE results in Sheffield
“I am so proud of our Year 11 students”
Westfield School students are celebrating today after opening their GCSE and Level 2 vocational qualification results.
A total of 265 students sat exams across 19 different subjects this year.
The greatest successes for Westfield School were seen in art, chemistry, drama and physics.
Two students who opened their envelopes to find they had achieved Grades 7 to 9 in every subject.
Headteacher Gaynor Jones said: “I am so proud of our Year 11 students.
“They are an amazing group of young people, who have worked incredibly hard to achieve their results. I’d like to thank them for bringing such energy and enthusiasm to the Westfield community; they have been wonderful role models for our younger students. We are delighted that the vast majority of our students will be able to take up their first choice of post-16 destination.
“My thanks also go to their families and our staff who have supported them throughout their time at Westfield. We wish them the best of luck, whether they are headed to sixth form, college or into an apprenticeship.”
