Saved by the alarm
FIREMEN who broke into a house on Hyde Park after smoke was discovered billowing from a solid fuel heater have warned of the importance of smoke alarms.
The occupiers had gone out and neighbours reported hearing a smoke alarm at the property on Apley Road, off Chequer Road.
