Safety in the spotlight
PERSONAL safety and home security equipment is being sold at the Barnsley Connects centre in Goldthorpe in an effort to raise safety awareness.
Security Connects is a non-profit initiative being funded by South Yorkshire Police Authority’s A Better Comm-unity For All scheme and is being promoted by the Safer Communities Partnership.
Items on sale include win-dow locks, handbag alarms, door chains, and shed alarms, all at reduced prices. Age Concern’s Handyman service has agreed to install any items purchased by over-60s free of charge.
