Saddle up for cycling event

Have your say

BIKE riders are invited to saddle up for a test of their stamina by joining a challenge in the Peak District.

The National Trust’s White Peak Challenge Ride is being held on July 3, starting and finishing in the picturesque village of Ilam near Dovedale.

There are three different routes – 38 miles, 57 miles and an 87-mile option for the more experienced rider.

Jenny Gerrans, Events and Engagement Officer for the trust, said: “The short and medium routes will be taking in beautiful views of the limestone hills and dales of the White Peak, while the longest route will reach as far north as Longshaw, encountering some of the majestic gritstone edges and moorland landscapes.”
