ANOTHER Olympic torchbearer has signed up to promote Barnsley’s Disability Games taking place next year.

Sprinter Dorothy Hyman, from Cudworth, who won silver and bronze Olympic medals in the 1960s, and who was among torchbearers ahead of the 2012 Games, joins wounded soldier Ben Parkinson promoting the Barnsley contest.

Dorothy, now 71, and Ben are guests at a dinner organised by Rockley Rotary Club to raise money for the games.

Tickets for the September 19 do, at Barnsley Holiday Inn, are available by emailing and cost £15 per person.
