Runners set to bare all in aid of polar bears at Doncaster attraction

Doncaster's Yorkshire Wildlife Park has launched a hunt to find fundraisers prepared to bare all for a good cause, as part of a naked dash through the popular visitor attraction.

Taking place on Friday, August 19, the Bare all for Polar Bears will see runners take part in a half-mile naked dash around the Branton-based park in a bid to boost the park’s innovative Project Polar campaign.

Entries for the unique fundraiser are now open, and the Yorkshire Wildlife Park is on the look out for kind-hearted folk willing to be sponsored to get starkers in a bid to help save polar bears through their conservation campaign.

Entrants must be aged 18 or over, and will need to pay a £12.00 non-refundable registration fee per single person.

While entrants are encouraged to complete the run in their birthday suit, those taking part will be provided with a polar bear mask and a foil wrap to start the dash.

Supporters of the project who prefer to keep their clothes on can take part in a different fundraising drive for the polar bear project with Go White for Polar Bears, which encourages supporters to dress up in white and donate £1 to the park’s foundation appeal.

The inaugural nude park run took place last year, when 43 people who dared to bare helped to raise thousands for the YWP's campaign.

The YWP has teamed up with Polar Bears International for their conservation campaign, which is hoped will be boosted by the fundraiser.
