JUNIOR Sheffield rugby league player Lewis Stringer had a surprise visit while in hospital recovering from an injury suffered during a match.

Eagles stars Mitch Stringer and Misi Taulapapa called in to see the Forge Valley School and Hillsborough Hawks player.

Lewis, 13, suffered a hip injury in the South Yorkshire Champion Schools finals.

Mitch and Misi gave him a present from the whole Championship Winning Sheffield Eagles team in the shape of a signed Sheffield Eagles ball.

They also brought along the Eagles’ trophy.

Mitch said: “I was at the competition where Lewis got injured and it looked a nasty injury, it was great to come and see him. I’m glad that he seems to be feeling better and wish him a speedy recovery.”
