RSPCA: '˜Little lady' Jelly the cat needs a new home

This cute and chatty cat is Jelly, and after being looked after by RSPCA staff she's looking for a new home to settle in.

Jelly, who is three-years-old, was taken in to RSPA Sheffield after she was found living rough and injured with no one to care for her. When she arrived at the centre, on Stadium Way, in April, Jelly was struggling to walk on her hind legs but she has been nursed back to health and is now hoping to find her new forever home. Adam Spender, of RSPCA Sheffield, said: 'Jelly went straight to our fabulous vets where she was monitored and given treatment to help her to recover and feel much more comfortable. 'Jelly became really ill and had to spend a while in isolation having some serious TLC and treatment but now, thankfully, after some rest and treatment, Jelly has recovered brilliantly and is now ready to find a new home.' Jelly, who Adam describes as a '˜very chirpy and chatty little lady' loves to spend time with her carers and likes to be fussed, but she soon gets bored of playing and would rather sleep at times. She is looking for a safe and loving home with older children, aged eight and over, who will better understand her nature and needs. Her legs will need to monitored for a little while longer to ensure she is fully fit. Adam added: 'It would be lovely if she could have some one to one care and attention from a loving family of her own now.' There is a possibility that Jelly could live with another cat or a dog. When she is not enjoying a good sleep, Jelly enjoys eating James Wellbeloved Complete. If you think Jelly could become a part of your family and you could offer her the loving home she needs, please call 0114 289 8050 or visit the RSPCA offices, two Stadium Way.
