Rovers, College make new team
DONCASTER College and Doncaster Rovers have teamed up to help improve adult numeracy, literacy and computer skills with courses at the Keepmoat Stadium using football-related materials to help develop new skills.
The courses will predominantly be at levels 1 and 2. Further details are available by calling 0800 358 7575.
Music makers
SERENTA and Dolce Musica from Nottingham have been booked to provide an evening of music from the Renaissance to the present day at St Jude’s Church, Hexthorpe, on Saturday, 7.30pm. The programme will include Latin-American, baroque, folk songs and madrigals. Tickets are 7 and 5.
Church security
SECURITY in the grounds of Christ Church on Thorne Road will be improved if Doncaster Council gives planning permission for new railings to be erected on top of the existing boundary wall.
