Routes change on Sheffield bus services

Changes to some bus routes into the city centre came into force this week.

Service number 95 from Walkley now goes straight across at the Brook Hill roundabout, turning right on to Mappin Street and then left on to West Street.

The 51, 52, and 52a buses from Crookes and Hillsborough use a new right turn on to Clarkson Street near the children’s hospital, before heading left on to Durham Road and joining Glossop Road and then West Street.

The changes are needed as Leavygreave Road East, near the Jessop West building and the old Henderson’s Relish factory, is being pedestrianised as part of work on roads around the Sheffield University campus.

The roadworks are aimed at making the campus greener, safer and easier to get around for staff and students.
