Rotten EU

Have your say

With reference to Veronica Hardstaff’s letter, of November 3, where she tries to justify our continued membership of the rotten-to-the- core EU.

I would suggest her attempt to justify her argument because someone prefers UKIP, rather than the political party that she obviously supports, shows yet again the type of people we should beware of.

In fact by her rant she wouldn’t have been out of place at the side of Neville Chamberlain in 1938.

Why bring Godfrey Bloom into the discussion? Why not Cecil Parkinson, David Blunkett, or even David Laws?

As for EU money being used on local infrastructure, I would remind the lady we are now paying more than £55 million a day to your EU- loving club, that’s over £20 billion per annum, so I would suggest it was some of our own money returned to us that was used. Your EU club which has never once opened it’s books for scrutiny, your EU club that now makes 75 per cent of our laws, your EU club that says anyone can cross our borders.

As for boorish behavior, your letter will suffice. If you can’t find anything constructive to say other than show your displeasure because someone votes differently to you, which is still known as democracy, please keep your mouth shut.
