Six candidates are in the running to join Rotherham’s Youth Parliament, to represent the young people of the town for the next two years.

11-18 year olds in the town will have the chance to vote for two members to join the UK Youth Parliament when voting begins on February 15.

Deputy Leader of Rotherham Council, Coun Gordon Watson, said: “These elections are a chance for young people to get involved, have a voice and find out how local democracy works.”
