Loan midfielder Vadis Odjidja-Ofoe has rejected the chance to stay at Rotherham United.
The Millers and parent club Norwich City had agreed a deal for Odjidja-Ofoe to remain at AESSEAL New York Stadium beyond his initial one-month spell, but the 26-year-old chose to return to Carrow Road.
Former manager Steve Evans had said the Belgian would be available for Friday's Championship home clash with Burnley, but his contract officially runs out before then.
Caretaker boss Eric Black said: “Vadis expressed his desire to return to Norwich City following the conclusion of his loan, which is a decision we fully respect. We would like to thank him for his contribution whilst with Rotherham United and wish him well for the rest of the season.
“Our focus remains on preparations for Friday night’s game with Burnley."
Odjidja-Ofoe was a key man for Rotherham in his four games, helpiing them to two victories and a draw as they climbed off the foot of the table.
