Rotherham United: Stubbs named new Millers manager

Rotherham United have confirmed that Alan Stubbs is their new manager.

The Millers spent the day in compensation negotiations with Hibernian to secure Stubbs’ release, but in the end the 44-year-old resigned.

He has signed a three-year deal and will be unveiled at a press conference at AESSEAL New York Stadium tomorrow.

John Doolan, Stubbs’ first-team coach at Easter Road, will also be coming to Rotherham.

The Millers had been hoping to hold a press conference today but talks with the Scottish side took longer than expected.
