Rotherham (4-4-2)

Lee Camp 6

Nothing he could have done about any of the Preston goals.

Darnell Fisher 5

Should have been tighter to Greg Cunningham to stop the cross for the first goal, Aiden McGeady skipped round him for the second.

Dael Fry 5

A big lad who needs to impose himself on centre-forwards. The teenager allows them move him about too much.

Richard Wood 6

Typical commitment and his first goal for the club, but let Jordan Hugill get in front of him for the opener.

Joe Mattock 6

Most of the major problems were on the flank Mattock wasn’t defending.

Jon Taylor 5

Little came off for him, although it wasn’t for the want of trying. Wasted a decent first-half chance.

Will Vaulks 5

Huge workrate and hunger, but isn’t up to the pace of the Championship yet, leading to rushed, wrong decisions.

Dominic Ball 4

The game passed him by and his touch was too heavy when he did see the ball.

Joe Newell 5

Like the last few games. Little flashes, not enough consistency.

Danny Ward 6

There have been better days for the top scorer, but the usual effort and mobility was there.

Dexter Blackstock 3

Still doesn’t look match-fit. One pass to Taylor to set up a shot and that was it.

SUBSTITUTES

Peter Odemwingie 7

On at half-time for Dexter Blackstock. Obvious quality and was Rotherham’s best player.

Another half-time sub, for Ball, and did a solid job as a defensive midfielder as the Millers went 4-1-2-3.

Izzy Brown

A 76th-minute replacement for Jon Taylor but was fairly anonymous.

Subs not used: Price, Kelly, Forde, Belaid.
