One stunning first-half save to tip over a Chris O’Grady piledriver and one of the few players to emerge with credit.

DARNELL FISHER 4

Nervy and unsure in defence. Little sign of the attacking threat he offered earlier in the season.

DOMINIC BALL 3

Bossed and bullied by O’Grady. The 21-year-old isn’t the most physical centre-half and O’Grady took advantage.

RICHARD WOOD 6

One shudders to imagine what the defence would be like without this solid, 100 per cent competitor.

JOE MATTOCK 6

Steady display. Nothing fantastic but nothing calamitous either.

JON TAYLOR 4

Loads of effort but little effect and he was substituted. His form has dipped in recent weeks.

TOM ADEYEMI 5

He has presence but has yet to really get hold of a game. His goal came too late to change things.

Having played well against Leeds United last week, he struggled to get up to the pace of the game here.

ANTHONY FORDE 4

Paul Warne handed him a first start since August but the winger did little to justify it.

Again, his contribution wasn’t consistent and he shed possession too easily. But most of the Millers’ best attacking moments involved him.
