Warnock, 67, at his 14th different club during a 36-year managerial career, has answered Rotherham's SOS after Neil Redfearn was sacked on Monday by agreeing to take on the job until the end of the season.

"This is the 14th time I've retired and my 15th comeback," joked Warnock at his first Millers press conference, ahead of Saturday's game against Birmingham.

"It's a difficult task, but it's the situation I like," he added. "We're the underdog again.

"I want to put something back into the game. There were probably one or two easier jobs but it's a challenging and exciting prospect."
