In a move which will delight most supporters, the Millers have announced that the 21-year-old has signed a new loan deal.

The Tottenham Hotspur youngster has made 27 appearances already this season and has become a fixture in the side under manager Neil Redfearn.

"The boy is a huge talent," Redfearn said. "He gives you 'legs' in midfield and the ability to take the ball up the field at speed.

"He is really developing at Rotherham and I think Spurs, and everyone else, can see that he's in a good place here. Spurs have been very good with us."

The Millers have long had an agreement with the Premier League outfit that Ward would extend his Millers stay, but there was concern last week when the player said certain people at the North London club had told him that wasn't necessarily the case.

Ward was signed in the summer by previous boss Steve Evans and established himself as a regular starter when Redfearn took over on October 12.
