Rotherham United: Millers days could be at an end for Adam Collin

The 31-year-old is set to move north of the border until the end of the season, but is already looking beyond then.

“Aberdeen are one of the biggest clubs in Scotland with a great history," he said.

“It’s a loan move until the end of the season but my Rotherham contract expires in the summer so I’d like to prove my worth and hopefully stay at Aberdeen longer term.

“First and foremost, I just want to get playing again and then worry about that at the end of the season."

Collins was one of the heroes of the Millers' League One Play-off Final success over Leyton Orient at Wembley in May 2014 when he saved two penalties in a shootout and played more than 30 Championship games last season.

But he has found his chances limited this term by the form of Lee Camp and has started only twice, in the 2-1 Capital One Cup defeat against Norwich City and the 3-1 league loss against Fulham.

He hopes to make his Aberdeen debut on Sunday in their clash with Ross County.

“It will be a great challenge and I’m raring to go," he said. “I spoke to the manager (Derek McInnes) and can’t wait to work with him. I should be fit and available for Sunday."
