Rotherham town council bids to become '˜neighbourhood area'
Dinnington St. John's Town Council has submitted an application to Rotherham Council to designate Dinnington St. John's Parish as a proposed neighbourhood area.
If successful, it would be the first area in Rotherham to have a neighbourhood plan, which help communities shape how development will look in their area.
A Neighbourhood Plan cannot block development, but it can be used to influence the type, design, location and mix of any new development
