Rotherham takes part in anti-violence flash mob

Rotherham residents will take part in a flash mob tomorrow at All Saints Square, to help raise awareness of violence against women and children.

The flash mob performance, to a song called ‘Break The Chain,’ has been organised in conjuction with One Billion Rising - a worldwide day of action to raise awareness of this violence, and wil see thousands of people across the globe burst into dance at 1pm tomorrow.

Tracy Highton, Community Organiser of Rotherfed, who has been involved in organising the local flash mob event, said: “RotherFed listen to local people and support them to take action to improve their communities. We work with and through grass roots community groups that are committed to bring communities together, giving all communities a voice and creating local solutions to local issues.
