Rotherham residents offered home security and personal safety advice

Residents in Flanderwell were given advice and assistance to help keep themselves and their homes safe at a community safety event.

Wentworth Valley Area Assembly organised the event at the Mark Grove Neighbourhood Centre.

Residents were able to get information and advice from organisations including South Yorkshire Police, South Yorkshire Fire Service, roads policing officers, Victim Support and Rotherham Council.

Free personal safety items including purse bells, alarms and locks were handed out.
