Caroline, Darcy, Alexis and Elisha Clark made medical history three years ago when they were born prematurely at 30 weeks to Justin and Christine Clark.

After nearly a decade of trying for a baby, Justin and Christine turned to IVF, with no idea they would give birth to not one, but four babies.

Weighing between just two and three pounds each when they were born in Sheffield’s Jessop Hospital, the youngsters suffer from severe food intolerances including gluten, dairy, corn flour and soya.

They have previously spent weeks in hospital due to their intolerances.

Justin, a stay-at-home dad, said: “The girl’s allergies are a struggle, as parents we live in fear of how foods will affect them.

“Most Free From foods are very expensive, making every day meals extremely difficult.

“Birthday parties are even tougher.

“We want the girls to lead a happy and normal life and a birthday bash was a definite must.”

After contacting Asda via social media to praise its Free From range, Justin and the family were in for a special surprise, courtesy of Asda Rotherham on Aldwarke Lane.
