A Rotherham pub is to close for a £350,000 refurbishment.

The Brush and Easel on Fleming Way will be closed for four weeks following a cash injection by the new leaseholder Chris Bridges in partnership with owners Punch Taverns.

It is hoped 12 new jobs will be created when the pub re-opens.

Chris said: “I’m from the area so know the pub well and could always see its potential. I’m really excited to be working on a new concept with Punch to create a good, community pub where I can reward our customers’ loyalty with good value food and drink.

“There will be major work conducted throughout the pub, where it will be redesigned as open plan and given a brighter and fresher look and feel.”
