Tony Chapman, aged 41, of Lindley Street, Eastwood, is accused of sexually abusing three girls - one aged 16 and two under the age of 16 - between 1998 and 2015.

Chapman faces seven charges of rape, 12 of indecent assault, one of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and one of affray.

He has been released on bail until his next hearing on July 18 at Sheffield Magistrates' Court.

Chapman was arrested and later charged as part of Operation Stovewood, which is a National Crime Agency investigation into non-familial child sexual exploitation and abuse in Rotherham between 1997-2013.

To date, a total of 15 men have been arrested and seven charged.

The investigation currently has 71 designated suspects and is in the process of engaging with more than 190 victims and survivors.
