Young people in Rotherham are set to benefit from a new youth hub.

Council bosses have unveiled the Eric Manns building in Moorgate Street as the new home for support services.

The local Youth Service, Youth Offending Service, Connexions centre and Youth Start Advice Information have merged and will now provide support, advice and activities for young people under one roof.

Coun Mahroof Hussain, cabinet member for communities at Rotherham Council, said: “The hub is the catalyst of this great new service and demonstrates how much youth provision has moved on with the needs of our young people.

“Together we aim to do everything to can to help the personal and social development of our young people.”
