Rotherham burglar jailed after being detained in garage by victims

A Rotherham man who was detained in a garage after being caught breaking into it by the owners has been jailed for two-and-a-half years.

Daniel White, aged 34, of Selwyn Street, Eastwood, was found breaking into a garage in Castleton Road, Hathersage, in the early hours of Friday, September 2 and detained until police officers arrived.

He admitted burglary and breaching a suspended sentence for theft.
