As the raiders made their getaway they ran over the woman, leaving her with serious injuries.

Police initially described the raid as an ‘attempted robbery’ but have now revealed that cash was taken.

A member of staff was assaulted by the gunmen during the raid.

It has not been revealed how much money was taken.

“We can confirm that the pedestrian was involved in a collision with her own vehicle, allegedly stolen by the suspects,” a South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said.
