Rotherham in award bid
ROTHERHAM is one of just eight local councils across the UK to be shortlisted for a national award for way it delivers its services.
More than 400 councils entered the Association for Public Service Excellence Service Awards. To reach the finals they each had to prove how good they were in areas ranging from refuse collection and parks maintenance to school meals.
Rotherham’s Environment and Delivery Services department has been shortlisted for three awards, while RBT - Rotherham’s joint venture partnership with BT - has been shortlisted for another.
The winner will be announced at an awards dinner in Gateshead.
