Roll up for the big attraction

Curiosity over came me Sunday, having read in your paper that the attraction that the population of this great city had been waiting for had arrived. So I decided to go and see myself what all the fuss was about.

The 220ft high ride Star Flyer carousel opens on Fargate in Sheffield.

I proceeded to drive into the city centre, firstly I had to negotiate various road closures around the town hall, apparently the city was hosting a cycle race in aid of sport relief, not alot of people knew about this, as I drove round it became apparent that there was more marshals than spectators.

I asked for directions to a car park that was open near to Barkers Pool, as this was where the attraction was situated, no help at all from the marshals.

I was expecting a large queue waiting for the ride, as it was advertised as being open from 10am, to my surprise not a single person was in sight.

Just goes to show how disorganised this city is.
