Commissioners, funders, leaders and policy makers gathered in Sheffield yesterday to explore the role of housing in the arena of health and social care.
More than 90 guests heard from three speakers at the The Way We LiveWell event, hosted by the South Yorkshire Housing Association at the Crucible.
They also had the opportunity to share their priorities and challenges and discuss how they can work better for their customers.
The event also saw the launch of SYHA’s new LiveWell approach to care and supported housing services.
Tim Furness, director of business planning and partnerships with Sheffield Clinical Commissioning Group, said: “SYHA’s work is forward thinking – using active co-design and co-delivery to really identify what people want and how they want it delivered.”
Jon Land, editor of 24 Housing, said: “SYHA is doing great stuff around care and support, leading the way between housing and health services.”
Guest speaker at the event was Julia Unwin, chief executive of The Joseph Rowntree Foundation, a social policy research and development charity.
