Rogue rider’s bike seized

Safer Neighbourhood Team officers seized an off-road motorbike after they received complaints from members of the public about rogue riders on the cycleway between Bessacarr and Rossington.

PCSOs Natalie Butterfield and Jo Abel were on patrol on Warren Lane, Bessacarr, when they saw two off-road bikes riding towards the cycle path.

One of the bikes stalled so the officers were able to catch up with the rider, who they recognised as already having received a warning for riding his off-road bike in the street.

As this was his second warning, they were able to seize the bike, which will cost around £170 for him to get back.
