Rock star and celebrity puppet for Civic Theatre

AN INTERNATIONAL rock star, a celebrity puppet and a famous cricket commentator are among the attractions lined up for Doncaster Civic Theatre next month.

The October list of attractions released by bosses at the Waterdale venue ranges from home grown singer John Parr to BBC cricket commentator Henry Blofeld... and Zippy from Rainbow. John Parr’s is the first show planned for October, on Wednesday 3, a date which forms part of The Pretty Village tour, and is likely to include his famous hit St Elmo’s Fire, as well as stories from throughout his career.

Former cricketer Henry Blofeld arrives in the borough on Wednesday October 17 with his show An Evening With Blowers. The event is described as an evening of reminiscing and insights into the world of test cricket.
