Repairs to the A57 Worksop Road, North Anston, are to be carried out for 11 weeks from Monday, April 3.

The stretch from the junction with Sheffield Road to Lindrick Dale is to be affected. In a bid to reduce disruption, the roadworks will be carried out between 8.30pm and 5.30am. Colin Knight, Rotherham Council’s Head of Service for Highways, said: “This section of the A57 is very heavily used with more than 18,000 vehicles a day, including HGVs, passing through it, and this has taken its toll on the condition of the road.“During the work, there will be a reduced speed limit in place, traffic lights in operation and convoy working will also be used to move road users past the works at a safe speed. “We apologise for any inconvenience to local residents and motorists, but we hope that by carrying out the work overnight, disruption will be minimised."
