Road closed due to police incident in Sheffield neighbourhood

A road is currently closed in a Sheffield neighbourhood due to an ongoing police incident, which is causing extensive traffic delays in the area.

The road is closed both directions on Waterthorpe Greenway, near to Asda Drakehouse, between Beighton Road East and Moss Way.

Unconfirmed reports suggest a person has been hit by a car.

Several roads including Drakehouse Crescent and and Drakehouse Way are backed up as a result of the road closure.

South Yorkshire Police have been contacted for more information, and this story will be updated as more information comes in.
