River helpers win top awards

Have your say

DON Catchment Rivers Trust directors David Rowley from Sheffield and Chris Firth from Doncaster have won an award for services to fisheries and the environment at the Rivers Trust autumn conference.

The award recognises all the hard work and effort David and Chris have put in to the Rivers Trust over the last eight years as volunteers – especially their recent work on the River Don.

The pair also managed to secure a large pot of money to build a fish pass on the river.
